RANGERS have rounded off their home SPL campaign for 2011/12 with a low-key 0-0 draw with Motherwell this afternoon.

But sides had chances to score in the early stages through the likes of Lee McCulloch, Kyle Bartley and Henrik Ojamaa.

None of them could score, however, and the stalemate continued into the second half as the teams cancelled each other out further.

In the end, opposing managers Ally McCoist and Stuart McCall had to be content with a point apiece as referee Willie Collum’s final whistle blew.

After the match, fans stayed behind to applaud the team’s efforts in what has been a difficult season and waved goodbye to departing defender Sasa Papac.

Gers’ attentions now turn to Monday’s money-raising friendly against Linfield in Belfast and the final league game of the season at St Johnstone next Sunday.

A full match report will follow shortly…
