IN today’s official matchday programme there are exclusive interviews with first team star Steven Davis, Atlanta United head coach Frank de Boer and former Gers assistant manager Archie Knox.

Northern Ireland hero Davis reflects on his remarkable football career, starting from when he was growing up in Cullybackey, County Antrim and going through his years in the senior game at club and international levels.

It is 16 years to the day – 1 February 2004 – since Frank de Boer made his Rangers debut at Partick Thistle’s Firhill, so we thought it would be a good time to catch up with the Dutch legend, who is now enjoying life in the United States.

In the programme, 49-year-old Frank remembers his short but sweet spell with the Light Blues and admits he should have stayed at Ibrox longer. He also discusses his current role as manager of MLS side Atlanta United.

Veteran coach Archie Knox – who was assistant manager to Alex Ferguson at Aberdeen and Manchester United and also Walter Smith at Rangers during Nine in a Row – highlights the importance of Steven Gerrard’s right-hand man Gary McAllister and he is tipping the management team to deliver trophies for the Ibrox faithful.

Also in today’s 84-page issue Filip Helander picks the best players he has played with throughout his career for ‘My Top Team’, Steven Gerrard and James Tavernier provide their pre-match manager and captain’s columns, there is a tricky half-time quiz, a Hall of Fame feature (Ally McCoist), They Played At Ibrox (Bixente Lizarazu), a Junior Gers section plus so much more.
