JAMES TAVERNIER’S stunning free-kick against Kilmarnock was the fans’ unsurprising choice as the club’s Goal of the Month for August.
From a free-kick 30 yards from goal, Tavernier curled the ball up, over the wall and into the postage stamp in the top right-hand corner of the net beyond the reach of Killie keeper Jamie MacDonald.
The strike was a landslide victor in the vote, picking up 67 per cent of the votes. Niko Kranjcar v Peterhead (15 per cent) and Martyn Waghorn v Hamilton (9 per cent) completed the top three.
We will be picking a lucky winner from those that selected Tavernier’s goal to head along to the training ground to meet the player and present the award.
