RANGERS Soccer Schools are heading to India this week where they will be offering coaching clinics to kids as part of an agreement with Bangalore-based Gameday Arts Academy.

Two members of the Soccer Schools team, Gary Crooks and Allan Ramsay, will be at the event which will be the first one that the Club has attended in India. Kids between the ages of 6-15 will benefit from some expert coaching with the aim of helping develop young players within the Academy structure.

The Gameday Arts Academy team came over to Glasgow last September where they attended a Team Tour at the Club’s facilities as well as combining their time at Auchenhowie with trips to various Scottish landmarks. The Gameday Arts Academy is based in Bangalore and gives kids a chance to take their first steps in the game.

Gary Gibson, Soccer Schools Manager, Rangers Football Club, “We are delighted to be sending coaching staff across to work with Gameday Arts Academy, Bangalore, India. This will be a first for the club and one we are all very much looking forward to.  The tour group we had across in September was a real success which has allowed us to build the relationship and I have no doubt that having our staff deliver to the young footballers in India will help forge the relationship even further which will see more events in Scotland and India.”
