Several staff from the Rangers academy returned to Glasgow this week after a successful 5-day stint in Atlanta coaching over 75 players as part of the club’s North American Academy National Camp.

The camp is an invitation only event, powered by the Gers’ partner in North America, Global Image Sports. Several academy staff have been across the continent over the past few months and hand-picked players from regional events to attend the National Residential camp where the academy coaches get to spend 4 days with them, focusing on the training methods used at Auchenhowie and instilling the philosophy of the club into the players.

The players also get the chance to learn more about the club, understand the history and culture and what being a Rangers player is truly all about. Many of the players present had also been lucky enough to meet the first team squad on their recent visit to Charleston.

The trip gives the staff a chance to look at their player pool in the region and continue to develop their reach across North America.

It has been a highly productive and successful summer for the club. Some of the players at the National Camp will now get the opportunity to visit Auchenhowie training centre facility and train in detail alongside the Academy staff in the spring – to further the development process.
