RANGERS Football Club is deeply saddened to announce former player Max Murray has passed away at the age of 80.

Max was an ever present in the Rangers team in the late fifties after signing from Queens Park in 1955 and he went on to win two League Championships in seasons 1956/57 and 1958/59 and was top goal scorer three times in a row.

His career as a centre forward at the Club spanned 8 years from 1955-1963, playing a total of 182 games and scoring 129 goals.

The Board of Directors, management, players and staff at the Club send our sincere condolences to Max’s wife, family and close friends at this very difficult time.
