RANGERS Football Club sends its condolences to the family of staff member Jim Cairns

Jim sadly passed away on the 23rd December 2017 in the Accord Hospice, Paisley after a long brave battle with Cancer.

Jim joined the staff just over three years ago after a distinguished career of over 30 years with Strathclyde Police serving in Paisley, Lochgilphead and latterly on Islay.

Jim worked in Hospitality on matchday, however he is fondly remembered by many for his reception role in Argyle House. Jim was a very pleasant and welcoming face that everyone met on arrival at the stadium.

Jim was a real character with a personality to match and he always managed to make people smile and laugh whilst engaging them in a positive and professional manner.

Jim remained strong and resolute over the past few months and still managed to travel to Australia for a brief holiday despite his illness.

He was a very popular member of staff who will be sadly missed by all and our thoughts go to his mother and father Agnes and Jim, his brother Graham and his children Alice and James as well as his partner Janise (Hopkins) who also works at the club.

Our sincere condolences to all the family.
