HALL of Fame star Mark Hateley and the club’s Supporters’ Liaison Officer Greg Marshall last week visited supporter John McGall after he was seriously injured near Hampden ahead of the recent Betfred Cup match with Aberdeen.

Supporter John suffered a serious head injury in the accident which involved a falling road sign, and since then has been cared for at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow’s Southside.

Hateley and Marshall visited John on behalf of the club on Friday, with the SLO commenting: “Along with Mark, we paid John a visit and I was delighted to see how well he is recovering.

“It is nothing short of miraculous how far he has come in such a short space of time, and while he still has a long road ahead, with the support of both his family and the wider Rangers family, I am sure he will do just fine.

“The generosity of the Rangers support to John has been magnificent, with a fantastic amount raised for him so far online.”
