STAFF from across all the departments here at Rangers took part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning for Macmillan at Ibrox and the Training Centre on Friday morning.
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer, and last year, the entire event raised in excess of £29.5 million.
The first ever Coffee Morning happened way back in 1990. It was a small affair with the idea of guest gathering over coffee and donating the cost of their cup to Macmillan in the process. It was so effective, they did it again the next year – only this time nationally. Since then, Coffee Morning has raised over £165.5 million for Macmillan.
Club staff baked and faked their tasty treats which were then sold on, raising a fantastic £705.33. Rangers would like to put on record their thanks to Elior for donating the teas and coffees for the morning.
