RANGERS Soccer Schools can today announce a new, three-year partnership with Monbulk Rangers Soccer Club in Victoria, Australia.
The programme will see coaches from the Light Blues travel to Australia to deliver sessions to the Monbulk Rangers players, while players from Monbulk Rangers will visit Glasgow and Scotland to experience football and culture here.
It’s the latest in a long series of partnerships created by the club as they look use their superb Soccer Schools reputation to expand in new markets around the globe.
Gary Gibson, Head of Soccer Schools and International Relations commented: “This agreement with Monbulk Rangers Soccer Club is another sign of the club’s continued international expansion through collaboration with football organisations that are eager to develop their club, coaches and players.
“We’re excited to get the partnership started, which has a host of commercial benefits to Rangers. Over the next three years, we will have staff travel to Australia to deliver camp and coach education events and have tour groups coming to Glasgow for football and cultural experiences.
“Having had discussions with ORSA [Oceania Rangers Supporters’ Association], they will be delighted to support our Soccer Schools activities in the region, and we look forward to working closely with them.”
Theo Kerstens, President of Monbulk Rangers added: “Monbulk Rangers SC is a vibrant community club in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges on the edge of Melbourne, Victoria. We have 350 junior players aged seven to 17, and 200 seniors, playing our football in two leagues – Football Victoria and the Victorian Churches Football Association.
