TONIGHT we are all delighted to be returning to competitive action and it is vitally important that we build on the positive start we have enjoyed so far this season, both on and off the pitch.
Rangers has been widely praised for its ground-breaking diversity and inclusion initiative, Everyone Anyone, and so ahead of our Scottish Cup tie against Stranraer, we must all strive to enhance our reputation as a club for everyone.
Being a Rangers supporter means we all agree there is no place in our sport for discriminatory behaviour of any kind and this belief means we must never, through chants, songs or behaviour, allow others opportunities to criticise.
No supporter should embarrass Rangers by engaging in or encouraging offensive singing and chanting, or the use of flares. Let’s stand together and support our team passionately and in the correct way.
So, let’s prove once again why our club is so special and also take time tonight to remember one of those who helped make our club great.
Sadly, Bobby Brown, a genuine Rangers and Scotland legend, passed away this week and a minute of silence will be observed before kick off in memory of Mr Brown, who typified everything that is good and special about our club.
If you witness inappropriate behaviour and wish to contact the club in confidence you can e-mail [email protected] any time.
