Are you ready to (finally) pull on your trainers for the Blue All Over Fun Run 2020!?
That’s right! We’re back (but from home!), so the Rangers Family can continue to pound the pavements in support of their Foundation.
We’re calling on you, our incredible Fun Runners (and everyone!), to join us at any point between Monday 22nd and Sunday 28th June and complete a 5km around your local area!
Maybe you’ll dress your entire household in blue and take on a race together? Maybe you’ll meet a friend in your local area and enjoy a socially distanced jog? Or maybe you’ll use this opportunity to challenge yourself and run further than ever before?!
However you want to take part, we hope that you’ll be as creative as possible and share your Blue All Over Fun Run From Home with us on social media, using #BlueAllOver20 and #FunRunFromHome!
What difference will my support make?
Your Foundation needs you! We, like many charities, want to safeguard jobs and protect our limited charitable funds in order to do our best to ensure that the Rangers Charity Foundation can emerge from this crisis safely, protecting staff jobs and be ready to renew our wonderful charitable activities to the widest degree possible!
But wait! What does this mean about the event at Ibrox?!
Unfortunately, the current climate has made it extremely difficult for us to reschedule the event (which was due to take place on Saturday 28th March) in 2020. Between health and safety around COVID-19, and the likelihood that social distancing and restrictions to mass events will be with us for a long time, we will be unable to host the event for our wonderful 650 runners until 2021 – when we plan to host our event as usual!
Some good news! All 2020 participants, who had already signed-up for the original event, will automatically be granted registration for 2021’s Blue All Over Fun Run, with no extra registration fee required. You will also still receive an event medal and be in with the chance of becoming a True Blue Hero, if you raise £100 or more. Don’t forget! You can still continue to fundraise or start your fundraising now and seek support from family and friends!
Ready to get going?
Hold your horses! If you had already signed-up for the original Blue All Over Fun Run, before you begin your ‘Run From Home’, we really need you to complete our 2 minute registration survey, which can be accessed HERE. This will help us keep track of who is taking part this year and who would like a place for next year, as well as your fundraising plans! You should have received all this information in an email from us on Thursday 11th June.
Can I take part in the Blue All Over Fun Run From Home, even if I didn’t sign-up for the original event?
You can – and we’d love to have you on board, thank you! If you’d like to take part in a 5km run around your local area and fundraise for the Foundation, simply complete a Fundraiser Agreement HERE and pull on your trainers between the 22nd and 28th June. Please do not complete the registration survey! If that wasn’t easy enough, we’ve even created a web page full of fundraising tips, which you can access HERE.
Don’t forget to share your run with us, using #BlueAllOver20 and #FunRunFromHome!
Not sure yet, or have some more questions?
No problem! We know this isn’t the event that we’d all hoped for, and you might be feeling a little disappointed, but we hope that you’ll still be keen to take part and support your Foundation. If you’d like to find out more information about the Blue All Over Fun Run From Home, you can view our FAQs HERE.
Our Foundation Director, Connal Cochrane, has also just released a new update, so you can find out exactly how we’ve been impacted by COVID-19, how we’ve been continuing to help others during this crisis and what a difference your support will make! Take a read HERE.
Finally! We’d like to say a massive thank you to our even sponsor, Financial Advice Limited, who are continuing support the event.
Thank you for your understanding and support!
We hope to see you taking on the Blue All Over Fun Run From Home between the 22nd and 28th June!
