RANGERS Development squad are travelling to the Czech Republic to compete in the Viktoria Plzen tournament this weekend.
The young Gers will play in the event alongside West Bromich Albion, MTK Budapest, Minsk, MSK Zilina and hosts Viktoria Plzen.
Rangers had success in the tournament last season winning the Stanislav Strunc Memorial Trophy after beating MSK Zilina 4-0 in the final.
Academy coach Peter Lovenkrands said: “I was there last year as well and we won it. It is a really good tournament and I thought that the way they organise it is fantastic.
“The boys are looking forward to going back over and hopefully see if they can win it again and build on what we have been doing and the results we have had against first teams over the last couple of months or so.
“It is important that we take that into the games over there now and see if we can go and win it again.”
