RANGERS loan players were in action over the past week as they settled in at their new clubs. Here’s a round-up of how they got on.
Walsh’s St Mirren became the only club to crash out of the League Cup having won nine points within the group stage this weekend. The Buddies defeated Edinburgh City 3-0 with Walsh playing for 71 minutes of the game and scoring the second goal of the game on sixty minutes.
Hardie is also on loan with Walsh under the guidance of former Gers midfielder Alex Rae. The young Gers striker joined the Buddies a week ago and he made his debut in the match against Edinburgh, coming on as a substitute for David Clarkson with thirty minutes of the game to play.
Young goalkeeper Kelly retained his place as number one for Livingston as the Lions were unlucky to lose to SPFL Premership side Hamilton Accies – who the Light Blues will face in the opening game of the season this weekend. Livi were defeated 2-1 with Louis Longridge and Alejandro D’Acol on target.
Roberts was an unused substitute for Raith as they were defeated 1:0 on Saturday by high flying Alloa Athletic thanks to a goal by Grieg Spence.
Aird was an unused substitute as Vancouver Whitecaps were defeated 2-0 by league leading FC Dallas.
