Rangers FC has begun the search for a new Commercial Director to join the Club amid a backdrop of success on and off the pitch.
The global search, led by executive search firm SRi, will seek candidates who bring the vision and strategy to maximise commercial revenue through partnerships, ticket sales, events, hospitality, soccer schools, digital media and other Club business activities.
Rangers have made significant strides forward both on and off the pitch in the past 18-24 months.
Having stabilised the club financially, installed good governance throughout the organisation, improved the product on the pitch under one of the most charismatic and recognisable young managers in Europe, and with the landmark 150th anniversary of the foundation of the Club on the horizon, Rangers is primed to enjoy exponential revenue growth with the right leadership in this vital position.
Rangers Managing Director, Stewart Robertson, said the new Commercial Director’s vital work off the pitch would have a significant impact on the pitch too.
Robertson added, “This is an exciting time for Rangers, and the addition of a world-class Commercial Director is vital to continue the momentum we’ve built over the past few seasons. Adding new revenue streams, and growing existing ones, will allow the Club to cement our strong financial foundation and to invest further into our playing staff.”
