RANGERS FOOTBALL CLUB is delighted to launch the innovative ‘Rangers Business Alliance’ enabling over 7,000 companies in Scotland the opportunity to network and build long term relationships.

The commercial world of football is forever in transition and Rangers Football Club is determined to lead the way in developing creative partnerships for all businesses.

The Rangers Business Alliance is a partnership between businesses that are currently members of the Chambers of Commerce in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Ayrshire, Perthshire and Renfrewshire – as well as those associated with Rangers Football Club.

With continuing problems in the economy, the six organisations have committed themselves to broadening the number of potential streams its members are able to come into contact with.

The Rangers Business Alliance will be the main umbrella under which a formal business relationship between us and our partners will be created to help achieve collective objectives through a number of initiatives. These business goals will comprise of strategic objectives where opportunities for businesses to grow can be realised through access to new customers and distribution channels.

Raj Athwal, Rangers Football Club’s Commercial Business Manager, commented: “This innovative project has been introduced to provide companies across Scotland and the rest of the UK with a comprehensive business support service to help raise their business profile and customer base.

“Our joining companies will also have the advantage of being able to access the vast business knowledge and connections of each of our alliance members, assisting one another to ultimately find their ideal supplier or buyer in a cost effective manner.

“With the economy still in a state of recovery, it is vital for a club of our stature, influence and wealth of high profile resources to show our leadership qualities to the business community and demonstrate that we are not just a football club.

“We will become a centre for business excellence providing a platform for local, Scottish and national companies to join forces with us and share in a common goal which is to see each of our businesses grow and prosper together.”

There will be a number of events hosted at Ibrox Stadium next season. In the coming months, supporters and businesses associated with the Club will see a series of new initiatives aimed at raising the profile of the Club and businesses alike.

We would encourage any business, entrepreneurs and decision-makers who are actively looking to raise their profile and increase their customer base to contact Rangers Football Club’s Commercial Department on 0871 702 1972 (option 2) (Calls cost 10p per minute plus network extras) or you can personally e-mail Raj Athwal at [email protected] for further information.
